WMBC Executive Director - James Watkins

James is the Executive Director of the West Midlands Business Council – responsible for driving forward the organisation. James was previously the Political Adviser to the Japanese Government, based at the Embassy of Japan in London, with a key role in developing UK-Japan relations. James has also been a columnist for the Parliamentary Review magazine and has worked in Parliament as well as having worked in the media. As well as his role for the West Midlands Business Council, James is also the Chair of Birmingham Volunteer Reading – a children’s charity that works with teachers to improve children’s ability to read and write.
