The business sector has come together in the West Midlands to provide a powerful and united business voice on the key regional issues.
A single, region-wide body, representing the interests of all the major business groupings – professional organisations and trade associations – WMBC operates at a strategic level – regionally, nationally and internationally to ensure business needs are taken on board - and acted on.

It harnesses this experience – whether in Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands conurbation and Worcestershire – providing a clear and unified voice for the region's dynamic and diverse business base.
Delivery
WMBC comprises member organisations from allsectors of regional commerce and industry. Their drive and shared commitment enables WMBC to provide a focused response to regional issues – from transport, skills to tackling red tape.
Backed up by a comprehensive policy development programme, this member led approach ensures that the best interests of business are served.
WMBC is working closely with the Regional Development Agency – Advantage West Midlands, the Government Office for the West Midlands, the West Midlands Regional Assembly, MPs, MEPs and Ministers to ensure that the best interests of business are served – with the West Midlands becoming a world class region for business.
Creating business
WMBC helps boost business opportunities by lobbying, policy development and project management. As an example it was the work of WMBC that helped to ensure that small and medium sized businesses have a better opportunity than ever before to gain valuable central Government procurement contracts.
